Wow, I know I say this every time I post an episode this season, but holy shit, I can’t believe that we’re almost done with Justified! I’m kind of dying to know what happens but also not wanting to get to the end. Don’t get me wrong, I’m looking forward to having those evenings off when the show is over, but this has been a really interesting story and I’m gonna miss these characters.
This episode, Boyd almost reaps the rewards of his greed when Ava’s uncle shackles him in place before lighting the fuse on his explosives and bailing. I don’t want Boyd to die, because he’s just too much fun, but I was hoping that he would at least admit that he learned a lesson about pushing things too far. However, he flips out and accuses Ava of being in on this whole scheme, and doesn’t seem to have learned a damn thing since he’s now planning on going after that money harder and stupider, as Raylan intended.
Meanwhile, we find out that Wynn Duffy was the rat on Katherine’s husband, and he’s planning on reprising his role as an informant now that they’re threatening to tell Katherine about his role in her husband’s death. Mikey is really unimpressed, and I’m almost feeling bad for the kid because he’s losing his hero. Oh, Mikey.
Thanks so much for listening, and I will see you later with the next episode of Harry Potter!
